Governor’s Island is a bridged 500-acre island on Lake Winnipesaukee. 

Like many of the lakefront communities on Lake Winnipesaukee, the exclusive nature of the Island is ensured by the value of the property on the Island. There is nowhere else on the lake with such a sense of luxury throughout the whole neighborhood. The location of Governor’s Island is ideal for those who want a great neighborhood but a short drive to dinners out, shopping, a large hospital and what is becoming more important, Laconia Airport, with an airstrip of just under 6,000 feet.

The GIC clubhouse can be used for members free of charge during the summer and the beach is often the place where members host wedding receptions, anniversaries, etc.
