Where to Brunch for Easter

Forget the spiral ham and yellow mustard. Spend your Easter Sunday with one of these recommended elegant inns, grand hotels, cozy local favorites or even historic sites serving delicious brunch, lunch and dinner. Oh, and did we mention a few have make-your-own bloody mary bars? Enjoy!

Epoch at the Exeter Inn
90 Front St., Exeter

When: Brunch buffet from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Cost: $70 for adults, $25 for kids 6 to 12 and free for ages 5 and under

The Old Salt at Lamie’s Inn

The Old Salt has won so many Best of NH Readers’ Poll awards for brunch that we’ve lost count. The special Easter brunch is by reservation only, and features fruit-filled pancakes, pastries, eggs Benedict plus omelets and Belgian waffles made to order, and also offers savory entrées like haddock au gratin and stuffed chicken. See more menu items here.

Bedford Village Inn

The Grazing Room at The Colby Hill Inn

The Grazing Room, which is certified local by the New Hampshire Farm-to-Restaurant Connection, is located at the charming Colby Hill Inn. The special Easter supper is a three-course, prix-fixe menu with choices such as red beet deviled eggs with pea tendrils, Greek-style roast leg of lamb, rabbit potpie, day boat scallops with sweet pea risotto and more. See the entire menu here.

The Foundry

The Foundry’s regular Sunday Riverside Brunch changes slightly depending on the season, but most weeks you can expect the buffet to include a custom omelet station, local meats, handmade pastries, fresh oysters, Belgian waffles, shrimp cocktail, hand-carved roasts and much more.

Gauchos Churrascaria Brazilian Steak House
62 Lowell St., Manchester

When: Brunch is served on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

This isn’t your typical steak house. At Gauchos, servers continuously walk around the dining room with skewers of rotisserie meat. Enjoy their Sunday brunch buffet, featuring a market table of fresh salads, a breakfast buffet chock-full of pastries and, of course, skewered meats galore.

Mountain View Grand Resort & Spa
101 Mountain View Rd., Whitefield

When: Easter Grand Buffet from 7:30 to 11 a.m.
Cost: $24 for 13 and up, $12 for ages 6 to 12, and free for children under 5

Mount View’s Easter Grand Buffet will be held in the Harvest Tavern Restaurant and is open to both resort guests and the general public. Buffet options include eggs benedict, scrambled eggs, chunky monkey pancakes, house-made pastries, a carving station with smokehouse ham, a waffle station and more. See the entire menu here.

The Old Courthouse

When: The Sunday brunch buffet is available from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Another Best of NH Editor’s Pick, this historic location is a beautiful place to enjoy brunch — not to mention that the food is outstanding. Find traditional breakfast items, a cooked-to-order omelet station and freshly sliced North Country Smokehouse applewood-smoked ham, among many other items like quiche, coffee cake, potatoes and more.

Ledges Restaurant at The White Mountain Hotel & Resort
87 Fairway Dr., North Conway

When: Easter Brunch Buffet from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Cost: $59 for adults, $29 for children ages 6 to 11 and free for children under 5

This celebrated grand Easter Sunday brunch also happens to come with lovely panoramic views. Enjoy a made-to-order omelet and waffle stations, the carving station with roast beef, lamb and baked ham, Dijon and rosemary crustedpork loins, baked Brie en croûte, asparagus ravioli, smoked salmon, a dessert table and much more.

Pickity Place
248 Nutting Hill Rd., Mason

When: 11:30 a.m., 12:45 p.m. and 2 p.m.

History runs deep at this charming restaurant located in the 1786 red house that inspired the illustrations for Elizabeth Orton Jones’ Little Golden Book version of “Little Red Riding Hood.” With three seatings, reservations are required and should be made well in advance. The seasonal menu, which changes monthly, includes a dip, soup, salad, bread, two entrée choices and a dessert.  If you have time, walk around the lovely grounds that include a gift shop, gardens and a greenhouse filled with a huge selection of herbs (you’ll find some of those herbs incorporated into the seasonal dishes).

Common Man Restaurants

A number of restaurants in the Common Man family hold special Easter brunches. They include Common Man restaurants in Ashland, Claremont, Lincoln, Windham and Merrimack, Lakehouse at Church Landing in Meredith, Lago at the Inn at Bay Point in Meredith, Airport Diner in Manchester, Tilt’n Diner in Tilton, Italian Farmhouse in Plymouth and Foster’s Boiler Room at The Common Man Inn & Spa in Plymouth. Find Easter specials from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Ashland, Claremont, Lincoln, Windham and Merrimack Common Man locations, along with the Italian Farmhouse in Plymouth, and from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Lakehouse at Church Landing in Meredith, Lago at the Inn at Bay Point in Meredith and Foster’s Boiler Room at The Common Man Inn & Spa in Plymouth. Lakehouse at Church Landing in Meredith will also serve breakfast from 7 to 10 a.m. See details here.

Atkinson Resort & Country Club

Lock down a delicious Easter meal at either of LaBelle Winery’s pristine locations. With seatings at 10 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 3 p.m., families can enjoy LaBelle’s Brunch Grand Buffet any time of day depending on their Easter plans. Their food offerings for the day include a mimosa bar, doughnut station, carving stations featuring ham and prime rib, chicken, pasta primavera, desserts and a whole lot more.
